Firstly, at the time of the booking Rachael was so lovely and accommodating with our requests. Made me look forward to the trip even more. And once we got there it was beautiful! The location is ideal - so peaceful and quiet. And the kangaroos and horses in the area made the trip so memorable! The room itself was lovely and the perfect size. The beds were so comfy! We loved the breakfast options, however we weren’t really a fan of the coffee. But a short walk to the lane pantry, taking in all the views, and we could get good coffee there so it didn’t bother us too much! To celebrate, we chose a nearby escape, ‘The Lane Retreat’ in our beautiful Pokolbin, Hunter Valley. ‘The Lane Retreat’ is located on one of Bimbadgen’s award-winning vineyards in the heart of wine country. ‘The Lane Retreat’ is one of our newest accommodation destinations with sixty (60) premium studio retreats, each designed to complement the natural beauty of the surroundings. A BIG shoutout to the Hotel designers for their bedding and mattress selection. Finally a 5 star accommodation that get's it...quality starts from exceptional rest. There are so many accommodation options that have poor or below standard bedding and mattresses. This is not the case when staying at the Lane Retreat. Nestled on 15 hectares of secluded vineyard and natural bushland, we enjoyed calming panoramic views of the Broken Back Range and convenient access to many well-known surrounding attractions. I must also mention that this premium accommodation provides premium bedding, which is greatly appreciated. I highly recommend booking one of their lake-view rooms; you will not regret it. The modern room design is gorgeous, and having two showers, two mirrors, and two separate sinks felt so luxurious and practical (perfect for couples who don’t want to fight over bathroom space in the morning!). The team was so kind, helpful, and quick to respond to anything we needed. After checking out, I realized I had accidentally left my personal towel in the bathroom, and they immediately emailed me about it — even helped arrange shipping to my next hotel in Sydney. Seriously such amazing service! The retreat itself is so peaceful and beautiful. We woke up to the most gorgeous views and even saw a mob of kangaroos grazing in the distance when we checked in — it was such a magical moment. The Lane Retreat at Bimbadgen Palmers Lane is beautiful! So glad to have had the convenience of a 4min walk from the reception doors to our villa, 4 nights included for the newlyweds is awesome!! So amazing to soak up post-wedding bliss in such a beautiful winery! Great location, so central to the Hunter Valley! The Villas are so lovely and new, the bathrooms with twin shower is super romantic and inclusion of brekky provisions is a great little bonus! One thing missing is convenient clothes hanging locations for long items like wedding dresses, but we made it work :) Highly recommend!
